Introduction

The developers required the construction of new offices for Centrelink on multiple blocks in the Narrabri CBD. The resultant facility has become a landmark in the Narrabri CBD, occupying a corner block at a busy intersection. The site was classed as flood-prone, requiring the building to be elevated more than 1m above the previous site level. Through judicious use of site fill and access ramps, step-free access to the building from all frontages was able to be achieved for people with a disability.
